So what’s new? What’s been going on lately? Mike and I moved out on our condo in New Hampshire on August 4th and since then, things have been all over the place. We were in Raleigh for a week, Tampa for three weeks, Raleigh for a few days, and then New York for NYFW. Mike was supposed to be in Tampa while I was in NY, but he was evacuated and ended up coming to help me with the NYFW Party. We stayed with family in NJ for the week after NYFW, then I flew to Dallas for work (more on…

I learned that it’s hard AF. The end.   JK. But seriously, both Jessie and I have been living and breathing the NYFW Party since June – the anticipation and anxiety leading up to the event was insane, especially when I found out that Jessie wouldn’t be coming to NY because of Hurricane Irma. I was so sad that she wouldn’t get to be part of something that she worked so hard on. But, we made it work and pulled off our biggest event to date! I’ve only stayed at a Ritz-Carlton once before and I was literally counting down the days until I left for Miami because I was SO excited to stay at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach. Last month, I attended three launch parties in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Boston. Today I’m recapping my two short days in Charlotte; for me, a good trip is all about the hotel, the food, and the hair. Mike and I are loyal Marriott hotel goers with gold status from all of his travel at PwC & now my traveling as well. If you didn’t know, the Marriot brand has SO many hotels under its umbrella, including SPG hotels such as W hotels, The Westin, Sheraton, and more. Mike and I love staying at the Rennaisance in North Hills, Raleigh and when…

What does it take to accomplish a goal? Often, we will wait to do something because we don’t feel like we have enough confidence to do it. We put it off and wait for the right moment. I am guilty of this; I let a work bully tear me down for a year and a half while I tried to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I tried so many different things during this time, such as consulting while blogging. I didn’t know what I wanted to do, and my confidence was declining with each day…
