Girly Home Office Space

Hi friends! In case you missed my last post, I am back to blogging to share all of my interior design creations that I am working on for my home and my client’s homes. I have started a second business around my passion for creating beautiful interiors and am thrilled to share some of the behind the scenes here with you. ūüôā Today’s post was the most requested on my Instagram: my home office tour! This space was pretty easy to pull together because I only had to think about my personal style and what I like. When I design other rooms in the home, I try to consider both the male and female perspective so that we don’t end up with an extremely feminine home. So this room is 100% girly girl, while Mike’s office right across from mine is basically a dark cave. I really enjoy the contrast between the two rooms, but you are here to see my office space, so without further adieu, enter my home office! Links to everything will be listed at the bottom of this post.

I really love this space and the amount of light that comes into the room during the day. The main walls are painted Rhinestone by Sherwin Williams (this is in the majority of our home) and my feature wall is painted Venus Pink by Sherwin Williams. I color matched the wall color to the Style Collective pink and then reused the two sets of floral decals (vivid pink & white) that we ordered for the two conferences we had in 2018. The decals are from the same company that I used for my powder room makeover.

I¬†also created a wall gallery with photos that inspire me, plus a bulletin board. In my gallery is an oversized photo of Marilyn Monroe, photos from my travels to Paris in 2017, and a photo of a woman walking her pet cheetah. I saw this photo in a home decor store in Austria and just fell in love with it, I mean what a boss – she literally has a pet cheetah on a leash, it’s just incredible. I proudly hang a photo¬†from my MBA graduation and my diploma. Bermuda reminds me of my Mom (she visited 15 times) and I included that photo for her. I purchased the frames from Michaels and Target.

I added some texture with dusty blush velvet curtains, a grey velvet ottoman, and a champagne colored cheetah rug. I love crystals and splurged on a large three-tier crystal chandelier to fill the room with light. I usually have the light on, even when the sun is shining (I use these LED bulbs that are low energy).

I keep odds and ends in this silver storage chest that I got on Amazon – I changed out the knobs for these pretty crystal knobs. The large photo of Paris was taken during our travels and it’s the same 20×30 frame as Marilyn (from Michael’s). Odds and ends on top of the dresser are from Target and Home Goods, plus two books: True North and 60-minute brand strategist.

My desk is a sit to stand desk by Uplift, not the prettiest but it is so so good for stretching my legs and standing up when I am at the computer most of the day! The coffee mug with Style Collective Pens can be found here, the Scottie dog was my Mom’s figurine, and the other items are from Target. My cream office chair with gold legs is not the comfiest, so I wouldn’t really recommend it, but it’s pretty to look at and goes well with everything else!

I think that’s everything, but if you have a question about something, let me know below! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my home office, I hope that it inspired you and gave you some ideas. I look forward to sharing more of my home and clients homes with you guys. If you’re in the Raleigh area and would like to work together, let’s setup a free consultation!
